Our Otter Valley birds are a slow-growing strain of Hubbard chicken. They are plump and juicy and full of flavour because they have been ranged in free-range conditions on an organic diet. They’ve had longer, happier lives than commercially reared chickens and they taste like it too.
The Hubbard chicken strain means oru birds have a distinctive texture and a slightly gamier flavour to the leg.
